Posting information and announcements

Members and friends of North Quabbin Energy are welcome to post announcements, information, minutes, and other material on our blog, which is linked to this website. Follow the instructions below in order to post material.

  1. Go to the log-in page for the blog site by clicking here.
  2. You'll need a username and password to access the site. Yes, we know this is a nuisance and that we're all drowning in usernames and passwords! But this is important to make sure that only members and friends are able to access the site. Use the contact info below to get your username and password from Cathy, and then make note of it so that you'll have it whenever you want to post something. (Or Cathy can supply it to you again. But she'd rather not have to.)
  3. Logging in should take you to a page called "Dashboard." Click on the "Write a New Post" button on the right-hand side of the page. This will take you to a page where you can compose your message.
  4. Give your post a brief, clear title that summarizes what it's about - eg. "Warwick Town Energy Committee Report Fall 2008" or "Sustainable Energy Fair Nov. 15 in Whately." Put the body of the message in the box called "Post." If you're feeling webby and ambitious, you could add some tags to identify the topic(s) of the posting - eg. Warwick energy committee, minutes, energy fair. This helps the blog site to figure out what other postings readers of this message might be interested in seeing, and this helps with the main goal of all of this, which is of course seeing how much more time we can all spend at our computers. Just kidding. It helps expand our networks of knowledge and connection, which is fine as long as we remember to unplug and come up for air once in a while!
  5. Click "Publish" on the right-hand side of the page to publish the post. Or you can hit "Save" and come back to revise and publish it later, if you wish.

And that's pretty much it. If you need access to the site, or if you encounter difficulties, email info@northquabbinenergy.org or call Cathy Stanton at 978-249-5174.
