Athol town energy committee

Members of the Athol committee are:

The group has been meeting since mid-April 2008. Its mission statement is as follows:

To serve the municipality of Athol in energy conservation and renewable options by

Gathering information
Seeking consultation
Disseminating information
Making prioritized recommendations based on comparison of data

The group is looking at supporting efficiency upgrades in town buildings and possible assistance with green design for planned new/substantial renovation of a municipal building or school. They are also working with the town Zoning Board on designing a new town by-law permitting small-scale residential wind turbines.
